The Bassmaster Central Open is taking place November 5 -7, 2009 in the Atchafalaya River Basin near Morgan City, LA. BASS is the world’s largest fishing organization with over 500,000 members. The three day bass fishing tournament begins Wednesday evening with a reception and tournament registration and briefing at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. Fishing begins Thursday morning at 6:15 a.m., launching from the Belle River Boat Landing in Pierre Part, LA. Weigh-in will begin at 2:20 p.m. at the launch site. All anglers will fish Thursday and Friday. The top 30 pros and top 30 co-anglers, based on total weight, will fish on Saturday. Awards will be distributed after the final weigh-in Saturday afternoon.
