The Morgan City Main Street program is presenting "Atchafalaya: Friend or Foe", November 10, 2011 from 5 pm to 9 pm in downtown Morgan City.
Guest speaker, Mike Lowe, Operators Manager for the Atchafalaya Basin Corps of Engineers will speak at 7:30 pm at the Everett Street Art Gallery
Displays and food samples from participating restaurants, will be located in the participating retail stores. The event is open to the public and guests are encouraged to visit the stores between 5 to 7 pm to view exhibits, sample food and begin Christmas shopping.
Passports will be available in all stores and by visiting all participating businesses and turning your signed passports to any store at the end of your shopping will be eligible for drawings.
Retail stores participating include Leon Kahn Department and Bridal Shop, Sherry's Intuitions, Shannon Design, The Frame Shop, Plantation Treasures, Interiors, Wildflower Boutique, Flower Fashions. Participating restaurants include Cafe Jojo's, Latin Corner, Sweet & Simple Cupcakes and Cakes and Rita Mae's Kitchen.
